Pattern Baldness
Male pattern baldness, the scientific name for which is androgenetic alopecia, is a condition that can cause significant hair loss in both men and women but the condition amongst men is usually referred to as male pattern baldness.
The hair loss caused by this condition usually follows a distinct pattern in most cases, especially amongst men. The hair loss tends to start above both temples and slowly the hairline starts to recede to form the shape of the letter “M”. The hair also usually thins out at the top of the head and can progress further to cause partial or complete baldness.
